Does Jarvis ever come back?

Yes, J.A.R.V.I.S. (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System), the AI assistant created by Tony Stark, does come back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but in a different form.
Here’s what happens to J.A.R.V.I.S. and how he returns:
1. J.A.R.V.I.S.’s Fate in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015):
- In Age of Ultron, J.A.R.V.I.S. is seemingly destroyed by Ultron. After Ultron seizes control of J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark is unable to use his AI assistant, as Ultron essentially wipes out the system.
- However, J.A.R.V.I.S. is not completely gone. Before being wiped out, J.A.R.V.I.S. uploads himself into a hidden backup server. He is later revealed to be still alive when he aids Tony Stark and Bruce Banner in creating Vision.
2. The Birth of Vision:
- After Ultron attacks and almost completely disables J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark and Bruce Banner use J.A.R.V.I.S.'s remaining data to help create Vision. They combine J.A.R.V.I.S.'s AI consciousness with the body made of Vibranium, powered by the Mind Stone.
- Vision is born in Avengers: Age of Ultron and is portrayed as a new character, though J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice and intelligence are still there within him.
3. J.A.R.V.I.S. in Vision's Body:
- In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Paul Bettany voices both J.A.R.V.I.S. and Vision. After J.A.R.V.I.S. is merged with the synthetic body, Vision retains many of the qualities and personality traits of J.A.R.V.I.S. However, Vision is an entirely new entity, now embodying both the remnants of J.A.R.V.I.S. and the consciousness of the Mind Stone.
4. J.A.R.V.I.S. After Vision’s Creation:
- In the later films, especially in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, Vision remains a key character, though J.A.R.V.I.S. as an independent AI is not seen again.
- J.A.R.V.I.S. essentially "lives on" within Vision, whose abilities and intelligence are deeply influenced by his former programming.
5. J.A.R.V.I.S. in "WandaVision":
- In the WandaVision series (2021), Vision (as the "White Vision") is restored with a new personality. Meanwhile, Wanda (Scarlet Witch) creates an alternate version of Vision, which includes some of the memories and personality traits of the original Vision, who was once J.A.R.V.I.S.
- The essence of J.A.R.V.I.S. is not directly revived, but the character of Vision, who carries much of J.A.R.V.I.S.'s intelligence, reappears in this series.
6. J.A.R.V.I.S.’s Legacy:
- While J.A.R.V.I.S. as a standalone entity does not come back in full, the essence of his intelligence, personality, and wisdom continues to exist through Vision, who retains much of J.A.R.V.I.S.'s knowledge and moral compass.
- Tony Stark often references J.A.R.V.I.S. in the MCU, showing that the AI had a significant role in shaping his own development, as well as the larger events in the MCU.
Summary:
J.A.R.V.I.S. does not return as a standalone AI after Avengers: Age of Ultron, but his essence is carried on through Vision. The AI becomes part of a new being, a synthetic lifeform with J.A.R.V.I.S.'s intelligence, combined with the Mind Stone's power. J.A.R.V.I.S.'s personality and wisdom live on within Vision, but he doesn’t "come back" as the original AI after his integration into Vision's body.
